Police through the official DCI Facebook account confirmed shooting dead two unknown armed men on August 1 in Nairobi County, Kilimani. Police claim they received a distress call from a taxi driver and his client after the suspects carjacked the duo, took their phones and sped off in the vehicle. Police blocked the car and ordered the suspects to surrender but defied and opened fire. The police shot dead the duo and allegedly recovered three guns from the deceased and six unspent bullets.
