Police have confirmed killing two people in Nairobi's Njiru estate on January 17. The deceased were in the company of one suspect who managed to escape using a motorcycle. Police say they were planning a robbery on Kangundo road. "The hawk-eyed officers who were on routine patrol along Kangundo road in an unmarked vehicle, had noticed a suspicious motorbike at Shujaa area whose pillion passengers were preying on their next victim." DCI wrote of their Facebook page. The deceased allegedly shot at officers upon interrogation. This provoked a shootout killing two on the spot. Bodies were taken to City mortuary. A firearm serial number KE-AP G0857 loaded with three rounds of 9mm calibre was recovered. Police claim the ceska pistol had been snatched from a senior officer within Embakasi police station mid last December.
