WITNESSES told Missing Voices that the young man was shot dead in broad day light at around mid day on August 28,2022 by a police officer from Dandora Police Station.
The young man is said to be a reformed street urchin who has been living in Dandora doing menial tasks for a living. Another youth was kidnapped by the police from the scene of the incident.
Nairobi County police chief James Mugera did not comment on the shooting. He did not respond to a text message sent to him by Missing Voices seeking his comments.
A witness said the boy's body was taken to the City Mortuary. The incident was documented by Dandora Justice Centre
