Residents of Kahawa West who spoke to Missing Voices under condition of anonymity for fear of intimidation said police officers from Kahawa West police station shot dead three young men who were allegedly robbing pedestrians on March 9 at around 5AM. Missing Voices identified the trio as Alex Kariuki,a well-known football coach in Kahawa West, Peter and Martin. The trio are said to be from a neighbouring informal settlement known as Kamae.
