According to K24 TV, David Nduati a warder at Waita GK Prison in Kitui shot dead his 30-year-old girlfriend, Joyce Mwende Ngui, and her one-year-old son, Raji Mwende, on May 18 2021.The incident took place at Waita GK Prisons and Nduati allegedly surrendered the gun to officers manning the prison’s main gate after the incident. It remains unclear what prompted the murder. Nduati was arrested.
