The DCI confirmed shooting and killing one youth named Fadhili Mgaza in Mlango Kubwa, Nairobi on February 8,2022. They accused the deceased of being a member of a notorious criminal gang known as “Katombi” that has allegedly been stealing from residents. At the time, the police allege deceased was a pillion passenger and was allegedly terrorizing pedestrians at Mlango Kubwa when he came face to face with police officers on patrol. He allegedly shot at the police who fired back killing him on the spot as his accomplice managed to escape using the motorcycle. N.B. Missing Voices has been unable to verify the circumstances that lead to Mgaza’s death.
