Police confirmed killing a protestor in Embu County, Manyatta subcounty, Kianjokoma town on August 5.The Daily Nation reported that the unidentified man was shot dead in the head by a police officer and died on the spot. Missing Voices independently confirmed the victim is identified as Moses Kimanthi, aged 30. The shooting occurred during a protest against the killing of two brothers, Emmanuel Mutura and Benson Njiru who allegedly died under police custody at Manyatta Police Station after their arrest on August 1. The family of the deceased told Missing Voices that no investigations have been launched to get justice.
